The Goals of PFCA The longterm goal of the Podcast Film Critics Association is to give podcast film critics a voice in the film community. As the new frontier of electronic media continues to evolve and expand, podcasting has become a primary source of information and entertainment for millions of internet users. Many podcasters give their own time, money, and effort to make their shows listenable and enjoyable. The PFCA hopes to give film-centric podcasters and podcasts a larger voice in the overall entertainment community. The PFCA has been designed to bring those podcasting film buffs together in an organization where they can share ideas, network sources, and exchange tips and advice with each other. It also has been designed to present the traditional Hollywood establishment and the various film studios, whether major or independent, with the confirmation that podcasting is a growth industry with millions of listeners and is a medium that they should be working with for promotional opportunities, and general publicity purposes. |
